Floyd serves as Trumont’s Director of Construction and boasts a deep and diverse set of experience in both multifamily and commercial. Floyd’s multifamily work history includes the unique claim to have worked in an executive position, building thousands of Class A units with four Nationally acclaimed multifamily builder/developers, including Trammell Crow Residential, Lincoln, Lexington Suites and Millcreek Residential Trust.
Floyd’s commercial experiences includes serving as the VP of Construction for Martin J Jaska Company in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Projects included student housing, post offices, theaters, retail, truck stops, restaurants, schools, industrial warehouses and parking structures.
Floyd grew up in a small town in North Carolina and enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing football and baseball. He was offered the opportunity to sign with the St. Louis Cardinal baseball team while a junior in high school, however was influenced by the football coach at East Carolina to graduate from high school and then attend ECU to play football. Floyd took the advice and graduated from high school, however elected to serve his country before attending college, ultimately graduating with a BS in Construction from Trinity University in San Antonio.
Floyd motto is “Do it Now”. He has a special place in his heart for sports and the outdoors including fishing for large-mouth base in the tributaries of North Carolina, hunting geese at Lake Mattamuskeet, quail hunting, playing golf and cycling. He and his lovely wife, Jacque live in Dallas and have four grown children, two sons and two daughters.
